The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (COCH) and the Carbon and Energy Fund (CEF) are pleased to announce the release of their latest Framework. CEF Frameworks have already procured over £250m of projects that are in the process of delivering gross savings of £50m plus and 245,000 tonnes of CO2 per annum.

The new Framework has several innovative additions to meet the ever-changing needs of the NHS. It has two contracts available. It’s traditional operating lease contract alongside a new service contract that will allow hospitals to access off-balance sheet capital under the changing accounting rules.

In response to changing dynamics of the energy sector, the Framework can integrate the NHS Salisbury Foundation Trust Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) which will provide the ability to procure and deal with a variety of new innovative technologies such as capacity markets, battery storage and car park solar to name but a few.

The Framework will have 14 contractors from the UK, US, France, Germany and Italy which will bring global innovation to the NHS with the guarantee of knowing that CEF’s procured projects operate at 92% availability compared to the NHS average of 65%.
